You are a blessed man.
Hope I'm around long enough to fish with my grandchildren.

I thought the fishing was over for a while due to the heat. However, I got a call from two of the grandsons who wanted to go fishing. Heat or no heat I couldn't turn that down. They spent the night with us and we got up early and put in at Sugar Creek just after 6:00. These boys are first cousins and they had spent the past two weeks together in Peachtree City at my youngest son's house. The bite was slow at first and we caught several small fish. Around 9:00 Tyler landed a fine crappie which was over 15 inches long. He also landed a huge blue catfish (which I held for him in the picture). Not to be outdone Cole (it was Cole's 13th Birthday) landed a huge trash fish pictured below. I don't know if it was a hybrid or striper. The bite continued and we finished the day with 20 keepers at 1:00. We also missed several good fish right at the net. It was like off-shore fishing by noon due to the jet skis, wake boarders and everything else. The boys had a great time and so did I. What a blessed day.

Now that's what you call a great day. They will never forget the trip I can still remember all the trips with my grandpaw to Jackson lake and Sinclair. The last time we went crappie fishing was when he was in his eighties to West Point I caught the biggest fish of my life and lost him at the boat trying to lift it into the boat without a net. He looked at me and said boy I should hit you with this boat paddle because I taught you better than that. I loved that man and will be so glad to hug his neck when I cross that river to join him.
