Thread: OCONEE WEDNESDAY 6/8/16

Jim and I fished Lake Oconee today. We started at mid lake at 6:45 this morning. The bite was slow early but picked up as the sun got higher. We fished in and around the timber but not as deep has we had been fishing the past couple of weeks. We caught several very nice fish. The one Jim is holding in the picture is 15 inches and I am holding a 14 inch fish. We kept 31 fish and quit at 2:00 as the boat traffic made the trolling difficult. We trolled 1-1.1 mph and ran our jigs 10-12 feet deep. As usual Jim pushed and I pulled. It was a beautiful day. If the weatherman's forecast is correct I doubt we will be doing much fishing for the next couple of weeks.

We appreciate that but I think we have a ways to go before that happens. We are still learning.
