    Default Hickory 6/8/16

I decided to try for some Lake Hickory striper this morning. Had 2 good fish on, but didn't get either one to the boat. About 10:00, I switched over to vertical jigging crappie. Ended up with 14 crappie, a couple of bream and a bass. The crappie were caught over brush in about 15 fow.

I have no idea. I thought walleye. He was a little over 23" long. He's turning golden brown in the fry daddy right now. Prettiest white meat I've ever seen.

Come on by, I'll cook some just for you. You'll have to bring the slaw and hush puppies.

Great report. Didn't know hickory had any walleye in it. I have never caught one out of it. They are supposed to be great eating. Going to make a trip to watauga lake and try for some soon.
