Word on the water is, they are waiting for you. Seriously, we have been on Sardis when they were thick but seems like it was july/august. Not a pleasent experiance for sure.

I have not been to Sardis at all this spring. Has that horrible bug hatch/orgy happened yet this year? I always seem to go fishing there on that day and it will drive you nuts.

I'm sure the are. I was thinking June, but it could be later. I did go today. No crappie that I could keep. Caught a bunch of white bass and one black bass. I stayed busy reeling in fish.
Ride down the lake at WOT when the bugs hatch, and get a protein orgy. They don't taste very good, but you can get your fill of em. LMBFAO.![]()

We went yesterday and pulled some cranks. Went to Clear Creek and worked our way down to the dam. As soon as we stopped at Clear Creek my buddy said dang all these bugs. Then I looked in the water and there they were. LOL! They werent as bad as they were last year so Im hoping that I missed the worst part this year or the worst is yet to come. They were only around Clear Creek as we got closer to the dam they were gone. The sun was out for a while by the time we worked our way back up to Clear Creek later in the day. The bugs werent as bad then but they were still there. We caught 15 with 6 keepers. I can remember going through two different type of "bug orgies" last year. The first time we ran up to Clear Creek. Once stopped, I looked over at my dad and he looked like a windshield!!!!

Talked to a buddy that fished this morning and he said they covered him and the boat. He even took a few thousand home on the boat and in the truck.
