Default ***2016 MICDC Spring Camp Charity Raffle***

We will be holding another charity raffle on Saturday evening like we did last spring. Once again we will be donating all proceeds to Camp Newaygo Youth Camp. Here's a link for more info. Michigan Summer Camps, Day Camps - West MI | Camp Newaygo > Home

Please start collecting items to include in the raffle. Items can be recycled or new, and do not have to be fishing related necessarily. If you are planning on contributing items, please note that in this thread with/without pictures. We are working on containers for the tickets and would like a better idea of how many items there will be. Thanks.

For those who were not at camp last spring, this is how it works: Raffle items will be displayed on tables in the pavilion prior to our potluck so everyone can have a chance to view them. Tickets will be sold both on Friday night, and on Saturday. Ticket prices are: 1/$3; 2/$5; 6/$10; 10/$15; 15/$20. Carol aka "cakelady" will manage ticket sales. All sales are final. No refunds. 100% proceeds will go to Camp Newaygo Scholarship fund to help send underprivileged kids to camp.

All raffle items need to be at the Pavillion by 2 pm on Sat. to be put on display. The official start of the raffle will be after weigh in and the potluck, whatever time that ends up being. You may place tickets in the containers for the items you wish to bid on right up to the start of the raffle. You can bid as many tickets per item as you wish. No tickets accepted after the raffle starts.

Everything I just mentioned is subject to change due to my oversight and/or weather.

Default raffle items on the block...

The first item is a 4x Resistol brand George Strait Beaver felt hat. This hat was made in Texas and has only been worn a couple times. In mint condition. Comes in box with cleaning sponge, and two rain protectors.

Second is a box of misc. boat hardware. This might be split up at raffle time depending on how many items show up for the raffle.

You can always count me in for some stuff. I just don't have any pictures at the moment. Dad has all his crap in my barn. Might have to do a little shopping!!! Heck, he would more than likely put a ticket in on his own stuff anyways

Default Kayak fishing trip with Slabsrus

Per Franks posting in another thread:

I would like to donate an all day kayak fishing trip for two. The day will consist of a half day floating one of the local rivers for smallmouth bass. Then lunch before heading to the lake for some crappie and bluegill fishing. No kayak or equipment is necessary, but the winner is welcome to bring their own if they would like.

Just a side note on the kayak fishing trip is that the entire day will be filmed for one or two episodes of my youtube channel. Food, beverages, kayaks, and transportation of kayaks to and from the water is provided as well.It really makes for a great day of fishing and I would love to share it with a couple of my crappie.com friends. I hope you all have a great time. Catch a few for me. Be safe and happy fishing to everyone.
It is not about the equipment you have to use,
It is about how you use the equipment you have. :D

I'm still unsure if I'll be able to make it to crappie camp next weekend but wanted to donate a few of my " extras " to the charity raffle. Hopefully I can get there Saturday afternoon or evening in time to meet the gang. I've made arrangements for Steve to bring my donation when he comes. Here's a list of what I'm sending. Bundle or split as you see fit.

1- pair frog togg neopreme stocking foot waders, XL, new
1- 4 pack of plano stowaway storage boxes
    2- 2pk shrimpo jigs
    1- 2pk toadie jigs
    1- 21 pk moon jigs
    5- pks assorted plastics
    1- hali jig
    1- lindy rig
    3- cabelas crankbaits
    2- 10 pks gamakatsu #6 hooks
1- 2 pk big eye spring bobbers
    1- 125 yd spool 8 lb fireline
1- 330 yd spool trilene XL

There may be more added as I go through my gear. Have fun guys!Name: 0605161553.jpg
