Default Last day fishing for a while.

Had a light work schedule the last week. Fished 6 out of the last 7 days. Time to go back to work and heal up. Took a friend back to the weir Thursday and the crappie were still there. Ended up with 27 crappie and 3 hybrids. The crappie averaged 11 inches with a few 10s and a few 12s. Most were caught on white and chartreuse tube in 20 fow.

Your shoulders and arms should be sore after catching all those slabs this week. Thanks for all the reports and pictures.

    Default The Weir???

Probably a dumb question for some, but what is 'the weir'?

It's going to take about a week to heal up. Hands hurt back hurts arms hurt knees hurt sun burn....you get the idea. As the song says " it hurts so good"

The weir is a submerged roadbed used in the construction of the dam at Truman. You should be able to locate in in any topo map of the lower lake.
