    Love the Johnson colors!

    Being fairly "new" in Florida, I was wondering why there were no white Crappie here.

    Thanks for the story, lots of good info.

    I don't know why there are absolutely none here, seems some lakes here ought to be able to hold them. But White Crappie are more open water fish, they don't take well to shallow water lakes (and warm water) which all our FL lakes pretty much are/have. That also explains why White Crappie are harder to keep alive in a live well.

    Great article!
    I didn't know there are no Whites in Florida. Interesting. I also didn't realize it was a problem keeping fish alive in Southern States. We don't have that problem up here. Would explain the recent threads on "How to keep fish alive". Good info., and fuel for thought when I start traveling south for Crappie.
