That's a nice fish. I can't say I've ever caught a sac-a-lait on worms. And never one that big on anything. That's a fine fish.

A friend just sent me this picture of a 3# sac-a-lait caught at Old River (Morganza) yesterday (Tuesday)...caught on a cane pole with worms....

Is that a cross? Mouth and belly of a white. Back coloration of a black. Or, I could be completely off base.
Dang if I know about those things....my friend did say that the guy caught it bank fishing.....had laid his pole down and looked away .....looked back and the pole was heading for deep water (how many of us ever had that to happen ...they seem to know) .......barely got it before it was out of reach....

That is a big one for sure. Maybe one day when I grow up I'll catch one. Lol.
Looks like a speckled crappie to me. I wish I would catch one that big, or half that big. Something keeps putting the juju on my plans to go.
