Default How I spent my Memorial Day weekend

My wife and I took the RV to Baldwin, La. and camped at the Cypress Bayou Casino. We don't gamble, but we went to see The Charlie Daniels Band who played Sunday night. We arrived Saturday afternoon and went to one of the resteraunts inside the casino. I almost needed an oxygen treatment after inhaling all of the second hand smoke in the place. OMG.
Sunday morning, we got into the Jeep and went for a long ride in the country side. Our first stop was Cypremort Point . I have never been there. We went ride to the State Park and it was really nice. Lots of people out enjoying the water, fishing and beach.

Then we went ride to Belle River and Pierre Part. Never been there either. man, the people were out on the water, and every camp along the river had people outside cooking something on the porch. I've never seen so many boats on the water. Fishing boats, party barges, skidoos, you name it. People were really enjoying themselves.

That night we went to the concert. Here we are waiting for the band to start up.

Dapet, my wife and I avoid the casinos for that very reason.....The smoke! You would think they would do the concert in a smoke free environment. As for The Charlie Daniels Band, I saw them along with Alabama back in the 80's! Still to this day, that has been the best concert I have ever been to, I think my tickets back then were $17.50 and I remember telling my mom I would have gladly spent $25 to see them! And I went to the Bayou Country Superfest this weekend for all 3 nights! Tickets to this was $270 for 3 nights and the beer was $9 & $10 a piece for a 12 ounce! I didn't drink any beer!
