    Default A GOOD MOURNING ON OCONEE 5-26-16


    fish with 1/4, 1/8, and 1/16 with number 5 spilled shot all caught fish had 22 at 9;08 am, stopped at 11;00 with 30 tried some crack bait trolling. trolled 2 hours no fish had fun trying

    That's a nice catch and good report with pictures. How deep of water was you in and how deep do you think your jigs were running? I've been doing pretty good up here on my end of the state too (the hill). Working now but cant wait to get at 'em again. Congrats.

    Thanks for the good report. I figured you were out there whacking em. I also tried one crank bait about a week ago. I didn't have any luck but will try again as the water warms. I bought several of the Bandit 300's. How far out are you casting those 1/4 oz jigs?

    Butch I fished in 25 foot or better, went 2 or 3 weeks ago and caught a lot but you had to cull out the little one so I started in 25 and go deeper over tree. the jig would hang up on trees 12 to 18 foot from top of water I trolled .9 to 1.2 with the jigs the crack bait 1.4 to 2.0 do not know how deep the crack bait run. just working with them.

    Hot water 1/4 I would go about 30 feet and the crack bait 50 to 75 yards way back behind boat
