Those black berries look nice. I went to my parents home today and their bushes are loaded with berries and blooms. It looks like another week or two and they will be ready to pick. The blue berries are going to be ready soon. Today we picked the first berry. It took everything I had to give it to my step dad. He said it was good. I told him he got the first one and now its first come first serve. He got a good laugh. My tomatoes this year was horrible. I am down to 2 plants left. I had to pull 22 plants. It looks like southern blight got the best of them. The cut worms got all my squash. I was getting one or two every 3 days and the plants were really starting to produce then I notice they started wilting and found the worms were eating the stalks from the inside. This springs rains were just too much. Everything else is doing great. I have been eating green beans every other day. My cucumbers are doing great. In the next day or two I will begin picking them. My peppers are doing well also. I have a few egg plants on my plants and the corn is growing really good. I might pick my first ear soon.

Don, it sounds like you got hit by the squash vine borer. They have gotten so bad in some areas that people have given up trying to grow squash.

Here is a link with info about the borers and controls. Squash vine borer management in home gardens : Insects : University of Minnesota Extension

Good going Didi, but trim those lower tomato leaves that are trailing on the ground and any up to you first hand of tomatoes. That will suppress fungal diseases from getting on them.
