All sounds good. I have heard a lot of mixed feelings about line counter reels. I feel like the line will fit me better than new reels. I have been pulling cranks for a while with mono an always took a sharpie marker with me an marked my line with it. Never knew how much line was out but did know where to put it back out. Thanks for all the input.

Everybody has their own thing or own way....Its all good. I like my line counter reels tho....Got 12 of them....ten old ones and two new ones. I like mono line too.
I have spent most my life fishing........the rest I wasted.

I will end up putting it on the reels I use when not having clients in the boat pulling cranks to see if I can live with it. I know several here love it.
doug,i use the regular 30lb power pro and like it alot. When pulling you have to watch the rod tips though,if they act funny you better reel it in,its probally tangled ,lol

I've been using the depth hunter line for about 5 years. It works perfect.

I guess I'm a hybrid cranker. I use line counter reels plus depth hunter line for two reasons. First, if line counters stop working I can still fish accurately using the line. Second, using the line lets me know exactly the amount of line out from the line tip to the waters surface. Good thread going here.
