That's my vote, cotton mouth, better shot of the head would help, but I understand not wanting to get too close! lol Catch any fish while you were in there?

they look like waterheaded copperrattlers to me.i don't like snakes at all.

Two things that have served me well in life. All guns are loaded and all snakes are poisonous.
I can't see the snakes but most of the time common water snakes (non poisonous) are mis identified as moccasins.

I don't worry much about them, but I have a friend that says they're all Copperhead Rattle Moccasins.

After looking closer and enlarging the picture that looks like a cottonmouth because a water snake swims mostly submerged while a water moccasins (Cottenmouth) swims on top of the water. That's what I've learned living most of my life in the swamp![]()
