Default Ranger RT 188 color question.

I'm about to buy a new rt188. Dealer has a white one with the options I want. Any pros or cons as far as showing lake scum?

It may show a little more than other colors but the white RT sure does look good. My fiberglass shows it in the white worse than the red. Get you a bottle of Licas Oil Slick Mist and wipe it down at the ramp. Takes about 2-3 minutes tops of you do it while boat is still wet.

Do you this before putting in or when taking it out? I ordered a Camo color in the new Xpress boat.

I do it before putting transom saver and tie downs on after loading and pulling up to the parking lot. It really only takes a couple minutes and very little pressure/effort. I believe someone said you can buy it at Walmart now. I get mine from Anglers Port in Warsaw. It runs $8-$10 but will last you all year. I just use it with a terry cloth type towel. Spray it on with one hand and wipe off with other as I move forward doing the top cap. Then switch hands and do the side of boat going toward the back of boat.
