I got a new phone and trying to figure out how to get pictures from it to post here. Hopefully the picture will post. I posted the report on the nc board last week with pics taken on my camera,,here's an above average Roanoke striper( for me anyway), caught while anchored with live bait. The current was 3 mph and boat traffic made it hard to anchor,,River was very high so finding something to tie off to was hard to find. Anchored bout half day then switched over to drifting, caught 13 anchored and 15 drifting sometimes you would be drifting 3.5 mph. Not the " usual " Roanoke numbers that most are use to catching but the lord blessed me with a safe trip and some very nice fish with four fish in the slot and one over the slot. Most of my fish I have caught over the slot has been in May after keeper season closed
HEY,,WATCH THAT YELLOW ROD
Congrats on your catch and safe trip.

Nice one Sam. Have heard lot about that river. Maybe one day I can make the run up and see for myself.

That water does look like it's moving on. Bet it was a fight to get it in. Thanks for showing me what a striper looks like compared to what I been catching.Good report Sam.

Nice fish, congratulations.
Always enjoy reading your yearly Roanoke River reports and this report like the other shows the nice fish you catch there. Congrats on your trip and catch.
