Finally got the chance to slip off after work and fish yesterday. Weatherman missed the wind prediction saying 4 mph but when I arrived the lake was white capping. Fished for two hours and managed 10 keeper crappie. Caught quite a few more dinks and two catfish. Needed my thump fix so I jigged fished using a Dennis Bayles special tipped with a diver crappie nibble. All we released to be caught another day. Did catch one with some weird growth. Maybe D10 can explain what this is.

I love the thump too! That is either a fungal or bacterial infection. It is more prevalent on fish when the water warms up. Nothing unusual. We see it every year on a few fish. Just cook the filets properly and it's all good!

I see you r from Conway, but that doesn't look like lake Conway in the background with no stumps and no cedars
