I have a Garmin 547xs chartplotter and love the unit. I really like the ability to take screenshots by pushing one button. All of my outdoor products are from Garmin. I have experience excellent customer service and help when needed.

TB, I don't have one but doing the reading on them and from what little feedback I have seen, they seem to be a really great budget finder. It's really going to depend on how much or how little you would be relying on the GPS. If you fish larger bodies of water with lots of cut's, channels, drop-offs' and things like that and your wanting to use a map card that shows this then it's probably not the right choice. If you don't rely on the chart them self's then it would be a nice unit. The GPS is probably as accurate as any out there, it gives you the ability to mark way points but with no card slot you would not be able to save them to a card. This means if you lost them from the unit they would just be gone. I think they would be a really good unit because the seem to have really clear crisp picture clarity. Take that price and do a comparison on the helix 7 unit that would give the ability to do the mapping things I talked about and decide if it's good for you or you just need to save a few more penny's for the other unit. When you make up your mind call Brian at BBG marine. He is a sponsor on here and going to give you the best deal out there in 90% of the time. He will also talk you through any questions you may have on any of the units. He is very knowledgable on everything he sells, no sales pith and not loyal to any one vendor.
