Well that ain't good. Over 100 views and zero responses. I guess that means no one but me is fishing Dale Hollow. Between the high water and being Dale Hollow, the next 4 days is going to be long. Still better than working or sitting at home.

I am going to Dale Hollow on Thursday through Sunday this week on a work get together. We bring our boats and rent some houseboats and have a lot of fun. This year we are going to Dale Hollow. How in the world can I catch a crappie on Dale Hollow this weekend? I am thinking about trying to troll crankbaits or long line jigs. Not sure if anyone does that on Dale Hollow since it is so clear and deep water. Any one know of a way to catch crappie this week on Dale? We will be in the middle of the lake going out of Holly Creek Resort on West side.
I have been tearing up Dale Hollow for the past 3 weeks. But...it ain't crappie. I have been chasing shellcracker and big Gills. But....at Dale Hollow you can't get away from the Smallies right now. I had 80 of them this past Monday....40 of them from 15-21 inches....the other 30 were in the 10 inch range. Since I was using 2# test line and UL rods all was good. I don't think you can get away from the Smallies right now. They are all over the place...the flats.....points on the main lake...back in the coves....pretty much everywhere. I'll be going out of Holly Creek again Friday morning. One of many in the past 3 weeks.
Regards
That's awesome ! Beautiful fish
I wish that I had saw this sooner. We walleye fished and at the marina (Cedar Hill) someone had cleaned a pile of crappie. Nothing looked exceptionally big but they caught a had bunch and a bunch of giant shell crackers too.
