Default Twain - One of Those Days Report*

Or should I say, one of those weeks.

Made the voyage to the cabin last week for a few days of fishing...... conditions were tough and considering MTL is a finicky lake at her core, fronts, rain, wind and fluctuating lake levels don't make it any easier. We managed to punch out a few limits the first part of the week, nothing spectacular in size but decent fish. We rigged, we dipped and even pulled cranks for a day, all resulting in mediocre results but results nonetheless.

Thursday was our last day on the water and we finally had some sunshine and variable winds so I said, WTH, let's go exploring.

45 minute boat ride (half idling) up the river and landed on fish.....BIG fish (especially for Twain). Buddy and I ended w/ 20 over 12", 15 at 13"+ and a smattering of 10's.

Felt somewhat vindicated after days of lackluster results.

Now it's time for summertime CRANKIN!

Awesome day. Think we are heading up this weekend. I'm sure this cold front won't help. Can't catch them on the couch

Great shot of some nice fish. How do you keep that boat so clean with out having tackle boxes and poles laying on the floor.

I fished Sunday and Monday had 7 keepers in two days. Caught two 13" females in the same spot that were spewing out egg, lots of dinks. The lake raised a foot Sunday night.

Organization.........I can't stand stepping all over stuff. We also pulled the cranking and rigging rods out as this was the last gasp attempt and only needed jiggin sticks.
