Hillbilly,Did you find any shad when you were looking around? Heading to Hickory tomorrow. Wife will probably want to striper fish so I wondered where the shad were right now. Been several weeks since I was there.

I found shad in the upper end of gunpowder last week cast netting for catfish bait.I started at the shallow water marker and drifted down the left bank.Nothing big but good enough for bait.Maybe someone can add to that?
