I spent about six hours in the kayak today, and I don't think there was much more than a minute or two without crappie, bluegill, and bass action. Good, to well above average, was the size of the day on both the gills and specks all day. A lot of gills over 8 inches and quite a few crappies in the 13 - 14 inch range, with the majority of the nearly 50 crappies that I landed being 10 or more inches. I kept a few of the 10 - 12 inch crappies, one 9+ inch gill, and two of the slabs, just to have enough for dinner, and released the rest.
