    Default Lake Murray Report 5-7-16*

Still a few to be caught. Only got to fish with an old friend until lunch Saturday but caught a dozen crappie and plenty of perch. Largest crappie was 1.60 with most being 3/4 - 1 lb. Caught most in ~20' fow longlining jigs. The fish seem to be really scattered right now but I haven't had time to fish any of my brush yet this year. Hopefully, they'll stack up there for some good summer fun.

Good to see those Murray reports and congrats on the catch and the time on the lake. That's a good crappie you are holding

A fine mess of good fish right there. Congrats on the good catch. If Murray is anything like Santee, you will not be disappointed with the brush bite.

They are still here, I've been catching plenty from docks and laydowns in 10 to 15 feet of water.
You can't catch fish from the couch.

Way to go James! That's a nice mess of fish. Planning to give some old haunts a try Tuesday this week.

Good Luck Derrick. Al and I are gonna try to get to Santee this week to put out a few brush so I can get some redemption for that butt kicking you all gave us at Wateree

As of now, I don't know that we'll fish the Santee tournament. Ray might go with a guest or solo, but I've got a wedding to attend that weekend.

I'd imagine some big ones will be caught down there though!

I've got to freshen up my Murray brush soon!

Ink, I've got plans to head down that way to put in some brush for our fall tourney. Any ideas that would help someone that hasn't fished Santee much?
