Default Crappies are biting. Time to pick morel mushrooms. (video)

I don't like to post a whole lot of non crappie related stuff here, but I thought you all might enjoy my latest video. I filmed this Friday in Roscommon county. Just a couple hours was plenty of time to find a nice batch of black morels.

Fantastic. I'll be up that way at the grandparents cabin this weekend checking up on a few things and heading out on the lake maybe. Morels would be the one thing to tempt me away from a day on houghton lake...

If you happen to be looking for a fishing partner any time you are going to be in the Houghton Lake area, please feel free to give me a shout. I live just a few blocks from the lake and have fished it most of my life. Of course if you are going to walleye fish, I know nothing, but if you are going to be crappie and gill fishing, well, I know a thing or two about the lake.

That sounds like a good time for sure. This weekend is a bit too choppy for my liking but I'll be up again memorial weekend Thursday through Monday. Maybe we can share a boat and some beer that weekend.

Sounds good. I'll shoot you a PM with my home phone number. Feel free to give me a call when you get back up. Memorial weekend is one of my favorite crappie/bluegill weekends. I seem to always do good for some reason on that weekend. But I am up for whatever kind of fishing these days. And of course I'll run the camera and possibly we can get enough footage for another video for my Youtube channel. Anyhow, give me a shout once you get back up if you want to get together.
