    Default Lost Trolling Motor

There was a post here a few years ago about a TM going overboard while running across the lake. I am interested in what the fix was. Anyone know where I can find that post? Thanks.

The fix is to be sure the locking collar is slid down on the shaft all the way to the mount each time when stowing!

Ram mount also make a locking mount that connects the shaft to a ram mount to the boat.

After what the terrova i-pilot with link cost me, it made me a belt and suspenders guy. Lol. Going down the road I use both the ram mount and tie down strap.

I won't leave home without one. RAM has sold a bunch of those from folks seeing mine in my boat.

You can make something a lot cheaper. I bought some velcro strips to help hold mine down. Cheap and easy.
