Default Lovin' Florida, specially mornings like this.

Learning my Humminbird Helix 5 a little more each time. Decided I was only going to use my jigs today Only been making these about 6 months now, just goes to show you, these Crappies aren't fussy if I catch them on my jigs.

Didn't get far from the ramp when I saw some fish, Longlining, only put out 4 rods and the results are below. Most fish were 12 and 13 inchers. All 1/16oz jigs, pink, blue/chart, orange/silver.

Good job with the hand ties. Don't forget the black/chart to with them. Good looking ties. That Estaz or whatever chenille you're using really works well. You done now, you'll tie more than 3 people can use. And that's fun too.

Looks like a great mornin, couldn't think of a better way to start the day.

I know what ya mean about learnin the Helix5, I just put one on my boat & barely know how to turn it on.
If I can figure out how to really use it might be nice one day
The finest gift you can give to any fisherman is to put a good fish back, and who knows if the fish that you caught isn't someone else's gift to you?"

I love the helix5, would have been nice to get the larger screen, but this will work for my budget. I have NO problems with the Sonar, but the DI can be a little challenging for my old eyes. Going to come up with a better mount to get it closer to me.

Now that I can tell what depths the fish are holding, I keep changing presentations to see what they like for the day. Some days I do good, others NOT SO MUCH!

    Good luck,
    pescador
