    Default DR information

I was renewing my license the other day( online) a pop up window said I was eligible for a senior license, the choices were cancel and ok. I tried both and nothing changed. I finished up and thought about it a few minutes and decided to connect DNR to see if there was discount for seniors.
I got a fast response that said yes I paid too much and call the office.
I talked to a very nice lady who helped me refund the first lic and get my new life time license for $15.00 and a coastal lic for another $15.00 so with the $2.00 fee I'm good till I die for NC fishing licenses. After that I won't need one anymore.

They didn't say the age requirement maybe 65 and I just never saw the pop up.
I think where I went wrong was only clicking on the fresh water lic and not the senior life time lic.
Next I'll be looking to see if SC offers out of State lic time lic for seniors. I can only hope

Petty sure the SC senior lifetime is only for SC residents. Got mine a few years ago and it covers everything, fresh water, salt water, hunting, game management areas. Only extras are tags or stamps if you hunt ducks, turkey or deer. $9 for a lifetime after 65, pretty good deal. Gotta be some advantage to getting older cause a lot of it sucks.

Be careful when googling "DNR". I got a "Do not resesitate" website. Don't want to sign up for that. Fishing's not THAT bad, yet.
