    Caught this one at Shenango lake yesterday. I've never seen a bluegill with these colors. Looks like it's bred with a crappie.

    We have them down here in KY, also ... but, I can't say as I've ever caught one, or seen one.

    It probably is a flier but it does look a little different then the ones we have in the lowland area of Southeast Missouri. They look closer to a crappie than a bluegill...that one looks closer to a bluegill than a crappie....probably just a regional thing. Pretty rare now days I think.

    It's definitely not a flier. We don't have them up here in NW PA. Also the fins look nothing like the picture from wikapedia.
