    Default Greenwood 4.30.2016

Started out trolling Jigs near the mouth of the Saluda river. Greezynoboat set the hook on a keeper while we were just putting the lines out and grabbed a few perch before we got all the rods out. We thought it was gonna be on. Missed 2 strikes and landed a 19inch striper on a bgjp 11ft. Gave up trolling after an hour of nothing and headed to the bridge. Caught several dinks tightlining the bridge and the wind got up so we decided to shoot docks for a while. 1 more 12 inch crappie of a dock a shellcracker that's over a pound. The wind became to much so we got out the cricket pale and hit a cove with some stickups and blow downs, pulled some pretty fish out of those trees, all different colors. Red bellies, dark blues, dark greens and those big strong gold ones that eat so good.:-)

Wasn't as productive as last week but a great day on the water. Boat traffic was heavy and the jet skis are unreal out there now. Good luck.

Greenwood is tuff from here on out. Them water lice should be banned. Night fishing is about the only way to go till Fall.

Welcome to the boards Stickers. Sounds like you guys caught a variety of fish and made it a pretty productive day. Congrats. The water lice....well, I suppose it's their time of the year now. Alteast if we get into those stickups they cant follow us there.

Nice catch and thanks for posting. I want to try greenwood Wednesday if I can figure out a way to get the boat there. Truck in shop getting some body work done from the results of a massive brain fa-t. Oh well

Thanks for the report. The wind and lice on G'wood can really test your patience. Glad to hear you got the rods bent though.
