Thanks for the report. I've been wondering how they were doing there.

Fishing has been slow for me. Been hitting several spots I have marked in anywhere from 11 to 19 ft of water as well as just drifting the main lake.
I have one spot that is LOADED with small ones, several times catching a fish on both hooks on one rod. Lots of fun, just nothing for the grease.
Fishing off and on each day lately, I will usually only end up with 4-5 keepers.
Thanks for the report. I've been wondering how they were doing there.

thanks for the report.........
I hit the same hole that was loaded with small ones yesterday. Today, the little ones have been replaced by BIG Un's! The bite was slow and a little different, but I caught 8 and lost 3 at the boat.
The bite today was really subtle, a couple times I simply noticed a little slack in my line while other times the rod tip would just kind of slowly dip slightly towards the water. They just didn't seem to be hitting it hard like usual.
I have one more day off so I plan to try them again tomorrow!
Good report. Congratulations!

since i am new to spider rigging, if you see those light movements do you set the hook on all movements? and if fishing shallow water whether inadvertently or on purpose, when your bait or weight, whichever is on the bottom, hits the lake floor,is there a way to tell the difference between a light bite and the dragging on the bottom? Thanks.

When the weight is bouncing off bottom, it will have a rythm to it as the boat rides the waves...hard to describe! But yes, with any other movement of the rod tip I will lift the rod.
