From reading the manual, I don't think there has to be any recording done.

It does kinda sound like it will work you just have to be in Track mode for advanced features. Rhodan makes the best motors on the market. They are all made in USA. A few years ago they didn't have a cruise control feature or I would probably have one. Let me know when you water test speed control please as I troll much more than I anchor.

Are you wanting to no, if while in track mold. The trolling motor will adjust thrust to compensate for wind?

Just tried the track function. While trolling motor is turned off, I pushed the track button. Just like the manual says. It slowly ramps up 40% and try to hold a coarse. I cannot change the coarse, but I can manually control the thrust. While in manual mold I can control thrust and also change coarse.

Sorry, no want to know if it will maintain a spend against current and wind. If I can set it at .8 mph and it will maintain it?

The xi5, that I was using, wouldn't hold like that in strong wind and waves The Rhodan also pulls my boat at a faster speed than the xi5 would, at full thrust. But the Rhodan's motor produces more noise to, at the mid thrust level.

I was told by Kyle that there is no cruise control feature on these motors.

Well dang that is what they last told me. Was hoping that may have changed. I won't be going away from that feature for sure.
