I see you are new, so are you looking for used? new, what kind we use, or recommend, Since your new there is a forum for items for sale,,, also depending on the type of boat you use will determine what kind of motor you should have, if you have a 55 and need a 70 your in trouble if you have a 70 and need a 55,, your good to go... Any way Welcome to the site and hope you have a great experience on here.

Beagle man- Thanks for the reply. I'm looking for a used trolling motor, I have a 24' Sea Ark. I know the 55 lb thrust is probably as low as I could/should go. I could put a 101lb thrust on it, however, like everyone else I got a budget I have to stick with.

vic n- Im located in the Foristell/Wright City area.

Sorry for posting this here, however I am unable to click on classified post and read them let alone post in the classified section. Not sure why, I click on the classifed post and the page comes up blank.

Best place to buy used in your area is the trolling motor repair shop off I-270 in Hazelwood.

I have a 55 on an 18 ft boat and hate it not strong enough at all just a little bit of wind and you go backwards. Maybe mine is a piece of junk don't know. But I would still go 70 or better. Just my opinion

    I would go with a minimum of 70. I have a 17ft and sometimes a 55 isn't enough.
