Such a good post Matt one of our AGFC biologists posted this on Arkansas forum and thought it needed to be seen here too !

Today my secretary brought her son (State) to work because he was out of school. State was waiting on me to get there so that we could talk about fishing. He wanted me to look over his gear for him. I told him I had a better idea. I took him down to Bates for some tackle and crickets and we were off to the lake. It was a little slow but we managed to drowned a half tube of crickets and catch over 30 bluegill, 4 redear, and 4 channel cats. We missed to other catfish because they strained out the small bream hooks. He had a great day! Take a kid fishing when you get the chance. Some kids don't have the opportunity or resources that others do. You never know what kind of positive impact you may have on a youngsters life.

That's great. Took my kids (4 and 3) fishing at the local pond last Friday for about a half hour. Each of the caught 3 bluegill, my son got the biggest at 11 inches! They had so much fun they didn't want to head home when it got dark, we had to go back Saturday morning for another hour! (They each got 7 more)

Nothing better than taking a kid fishing.
