Thread: Weiss April 23

Me and my old neighbor and new neighbor fished the upper end of the lake. Godfreys and lakeside. Long trolled first part of the morning with only one fish but it was a 12 1/2 keeper. Then went to the dock bite shooting and throwing to them with corks and tight lining. It's really hard with 3 in the boat. I had 11 only 2 kept the fish we caught were spawned out some weak and light bite some very aggressive and pulled drag. Some fish came on the out side of docks slow rolling different baits. Flo.pink ,blue. Wildcat bubble gum, and one I call mistake chartruese. Water temp was 69 degrees there was a lot of trash on the water and then the wind got up big time we had to leave at2.00 pm birthday I had to attend. Trailer tire threw a cap on the way home didn't blow changed it got home safe. Does anyone know if Howells crossroads ramp is public? I was told it was private? My partners struggled with shooting both had big keepers over 13" one pulled so hard thought it was a lip! They had 4 fish between them. I think in the next few weeks it's going to get good for the docks! My shooting skills were off and rusty, every once and a while I'd surprise myself hitting small openings. Lots of jig heads lost. No problem I'll make more😎!
