I only single pole. Ole boy that's on here from Columbus took me rigging one day at Columbus on the Waterway. Can't think of his name to save my life....it's on the tip of my tongue....he used to post a lot here...haven't seen him in a while.

Single pole is the only way I really feel like I'm fishing.
I enjoy casting because it's kinda constant stimulation which keeps me involved longer and it's a great way to find fish. Spider rigging probably nets me the most fish in a year's time, but I've only been cranking one summer. It was productive and with time might beat out rigging.
Single pole is still fishing, though. The rest is meat gathering...which suits my pragmatic, utilitarian nature so I do whichever gets me the most fish at any given time.

I've single poled for 20 years but for the last 2 years all I want to do is spider rig and I'm not any good at it.

I do it it all, my favorite is whichever is putting fish in the boat.

I like all the above. But I have to get my crank on as much as possible.
