If your unit is still under warranty = call HB ... 1-800-633-1468

Replacement is the best option ...

Splicing can be accomplished for a repair above the water line ... But the likelihood of the splice being perfect enough to not allow RFI in can be very challenging ...

I called today and got a busy signal on 1 800 number go figure. I will try them Monday. But yeah I will make them tell me NO nicely. Hey podunk why havent you designed a way to prevent this. My fishing partner wrapped the cable around a MK power drive. And not to derail my own thread but have you started to mass produce the brackets for the Millenium seats yet. I need 3 sets.

EDIT Never mind on the chairs and the transducer. I clicked on your website. Inquiry sent about the brackets and let me see where the transducer goes.

Some would say da'ducer apparatus® does indeed eliminate the issue with the xducer cable wrapping with the TM ...

and I'm one of them I was trying out a new to me I-pilot and had the anchor on a gust of wind and it turned ALMOST all the way around to put me back on spot, no worry my ducer was on a "Da-Ducer" devise also you don't get the blurry screen when turning with the trolling motor

Check out the post on here "ulterra cornfield crappie external transducer"
its the clamps and the red coiled hose on the Ulterra. Transducer cable is inside the coiled hose. Look and see if that will work.
Or the Ducer app will definitely keep the wire from twisting in two.
