    For the jig at the end of the line it depends - Improved Cinch knot for 1/16th and smaller and and a Palomar for anything bigger.
    For the next jig up the line usually a loop like HS said, with the type of loop determined by the size of the line.

    Any of the standard fishing knots work fine for crappie and bluegill. Just pick one and practice until you can tie it in your sleep.

    Cinch, Palomar or loop knot, no real rhyme or reason as to when I use each.
