First Trip to KY Lake Report
We we just finished 3 days at Kentucky Lake, Saturday - Monday. The fishing was much tougher than I expected. We did learn a few new things and finally find some fish. It sounded like nearly everyone was struggling so I think we did alright for being new to the lake. We fished from as far South as Jonathan Creek and as far North as Big Bear.
We ended up catching most of our Crappie on Rocky Main lake points anywhere from 6 to 11 feet of water. On Monday we finally found a few moving up to shallow wood. They were in the 4 to 6 foot range. The shallow fish were mostly males and their tails showed little wear and tear so far. Should be good here very soon!
While we only caught about 25 crappie in 3 days, the size was amazing! We only caught 3 fish that were under 12". I did catch a new personal best that went at 15.75"
I wanted to thank Crappie Stomper Terry for a little advise and following up about our catch! Good luck to you on Thursday! It was honestly one of the most beautiful lakes I have ever fished at and look forward to coming back at some point!

Congrats on the Personal Best! A couple buddies and I are headed down to the same general are to fish from Thursday-Sunday. I'm hoping that we can find'em. If we don't find them then at least it's a great view. I'll post an update when I get home from our trip to help anyone out that is headed down. Good luck everyone and Tight Lines!!
