NEW TOY Helps find the good ones
Installed a new toy on boat. Purchased one of those down view sonar units and installed it Friday (15th). Took it out Saturday mainly just to figure it out. Was able bring home 8 good crappie (no pics) while playing with the new toy. I guess an old dog can learn a new trick or two eh???? Life is good ...and getting gooder. Dang, my grandson says I'm getting to be high tech????

Hello "D", I bought a cheaper unit. It's a Garmin Echo type. I mounted transducer to the trolling motor and it works fine. I just need to use it more to really learn the basics. It does show the stumps and brush really well. Of course on Toledo Bend, there are plenty of those to look at. Rain predicted all week so I guess I'll have to wait a while to play with it some more.......Life is Good...and gets Gooder...
