Ditch, I assume the bream are staging up in 5-6 ft of water. Is that about right?

I made a short trip today fishing a different area of Swan Creek WMA. It took a little bit to locate the fish but I finally found them. I returned 13 Crappie, all were keepers and many, many bass and gills. I hadn't planned to keep any fish today, but I had a huge shellcracker swallow my spinner. I couldn't get the hook out and didn't want the fish to go to waste so I kept a few gills to go with him.
Best bait was still the 1/32oz spinner with a white twister tail. Largest Bass was only about 2 pounds, but I caught several that size. Too windy to be on the water again today, but a good day regardless.

Dang ditch I swear you could catch fish in a water bottle! Good job
Nice job. Did the crappie come on the spinner also? I wanted to get back out today but am traveling all next week so I needed to work on the honey do list some before traveling hopefully back at it next Saturday.
flintcreek, i look fwd to meeting up with you sometimes. i fish with DB quite a bit but lately been dragging. the honey do list is gonna kill me.
Tadpole,
I'm fishing a dewatering area that's managed for ducks. They pump it as low as they can during the summer, deepest water is about three foot with most about 24 inches. The challenge is finding something they'll bite and covering water until you find the fish.
flintcreek, Crappie came off the spinner also. Same white one I've been using for three days.
You know your stuff for sure
Every day is a holiday and every meal is a picnic.
Tiger, I just stared trying to figure out this Gill thing last year. I've got a lot to learn, but it's fun to challenge yourself with a new species.
Ditch Basser catching 13 on a spinner would be a great day in its self. Hats off again. Alexava I look forward to meeting up some time soon. I hope to get set up by next weekend to do some spider rigging.
Tight lines.
