    Default Securing remote?

I'm trying to decide what the best option is for securing the remote for the Terrova. Are most using a lanyard that loops around the neck or attaching it in some way to a carabiner? I don't know that having the thing looped around my neck is my first choice given the fact I am constantly leaning over and I am at that point in my life where in order to read things I need to use the full length of my arm to get things out far enough to read...

Always liked it clipped to my belt loop, with the carabiner. Just need to get one for thexi5 now.

I just ordered a second one for a spare. I'm always leaving the one on my lanyard around my neck then I take it off in shop or house when I get back and forget where I put it or forget to put it back in boat. The 2nd staying in boat on velcro mount up front.

I use the lanyard all the time, at least I know where it is that way. I loop the lanyard around the throttle control cables when I'm done fishing/loading up the boat so I know where the remote is the next time, and then when I launch, and start the big motor, the TM remote is right there for me to get and put on while I motor away from the dock. I've worn glasses for most of my life, so..... I also keep the foot pedal in the boat, and use it on occasion.

I meant to behave, but there were just way too many other options available at the time.

I too use a Lanyard. I built my own and the lanyard has a loop ring at the end of the necklace. I have a carabineer that connects the remote to the loop. If I want to take it off, I pop off the carabineer and attach it to whatever. When Trolling, I simply throw it on my dash. I also carry a spare at all times.
