I would like to help, but I haven't been out there to fish. I was one of the unfortunate ones that got 18" of water inside my camp. I will be spending the next few months renovating, not fishing.

Good morning,I was hoping to hear from anyone who may have tried their luck at LARTO. And hoping it was good luck. Last I checked the water level was 45.7. We are headed back today to do more clean up but I just might have to take a "break". Thanks for any info.Honey

I'm truly sorry to hear that. It was definitely an experience I hope never to repeat. We had only about 8" and I'm thankful for that. Many were not as fortunate. Hoping your renovations go smoothly and quickly.

Water is still to high. The bream are biting, know someone caught 200 on crickets. But need another 2 weeks for the white perch.

Is the Youngblood landing road under water?
I apologize I haven't been able to be online for a while. I think everything that could break at home decided it was timebut I certainly appreciate the responses you gave. We hope to head back to LARTO tomorrow if nothing else slips or breaks. I'm sorry I don't know the answer to the Youngblood question but if you haven't found out I'll ask tony at the store tomorrow and get back to you. Is there a crappie .com get together meeting mentioned in the paper in
lake charkes. I would love to come

Honey, that was an article they did on me and a buddy fishing Lacassine for crappie. I mentioned crappie.com several times to let others know about our site and our gatherings. As of now we only have 2 or 3 official gatherings a year. The one in November at Darbonne, the one in February at Toledo Bend, and I'm trying to get the one at Larto started back up, looking at aiming towards the last weekend in January.

Honey Jam I heard and saw pictures 5-1-16 of our friends grandkids with 17 very nice sac-a-lait. They were fishing from the bank with a cork about 3' deep with shiners. She told me the spawn was about over that they are starting to move out to deeper water.
Looks like we are in for round 3 with the high water. My pressure washer an I have had enough of a workout this year, me more than the machine.
