I'm with Paw Paw on this one...
I agree with the safe part. But I admit I'm a little bummed if I come home empty handed. If Im trying for Sac-a-lait 10+ is great! I'm new to boating so its a plus to catch sac-a-lait. Now bream/catfish I can always go to Lake Verret and mop up on those.
da puzzle. Where da at?
Ya can't no more do what ya don't know than ya can come back from where ya ain't been!
Sharing time with someone I like being with. Having some bites, maybe even catching some. Making it home safely. And already thinking about the next time.

FISH for LIFE
HUMANKIND......be both
To me, success is achieving a predetermined planned goal on a given timeline.....my goal in fishing is to enjoy myself, observe and appreciate all of God's Creation realizing He put all these things here for us to enjoy....that is success for me....catching fish is always high on the wish list but does not determine whether my trip is a success....sometimes meeting just one person and making a new friend far exceeds fish in the live well.....when loading up to come home and I reflect back on the day I feel I have been drawn a little closer to my Maker......I feel Blessed if it was a safe day and all my equipment performed well.....I may be tired and joints aching but if I can come home with a smile on my face and a song in my heart, then I have achieved my goal making it a successful day.....
Catching a limit, enjoying the time on the water, getting home safe, a plateful of fried filets, a nice nap to top off the day.
catching a limit is last on any list I have. just want to be on the water and get home safely.

First goal is to catch at least one crappie -sac... Then to catch 6 if I'm keeping fish to eat. Next is to not have any expectations..You can only have a bad day if you expect to catch fish.. So anything better than 0 is a good day lol.. And yes there's nothing better than enjoying the the great outdoors and making it home safe .. And if you get that "Walter" life is sweet .. At least for that day
