    Default EAST WIND

What adjustments would you recommend when fishing with east wind? Hope
to fish Eufaula Thursday and east wind is forecasted which is worst fishing conditions for me. Or just wait for another day to make the 200 mile trip?

I believe I would wait for more favorable conditions.

I have found through the years being a better fisherman than me is best thing for east winds. So changing my plans and going to Oologah and take Reapers advise and fish some good east banks with SE winds being forecast . Also about 1/3 the driving distance. May try Eufaula after the weather settles down. Ft Gibson has been a great lake but lately has been a dead sea for Great grandsons and I. Only catching SMALL large mouth bass. We are needing crappie for a family fish fry.

Wife and I fished Spencer Creek today with jigs. We looked with fish finder and fished in 12' to 12" of water not the first bite. The parking lot was full to max. fished around several boats all day only saw one fish caught and it was released. A woman said she got 15 on minnows in 2' of water and men fished jigs and could not get a bite. EAST wind all day and white capping when we left.

You're dreaming and fishing in the wrong spots. I'd bet over a thousand pounds of filets came off Oologah today alone. Fish are all over the banks. Best bite in the afternoon till about 7.
