Have a look at this map. Public access points are numbered. Six or seven may work for you, but I've never used them. Eight would be a long drive, but you will be up where the river is more like a big creek than a river.

You could put in at 6 , 8 ,10 and 14 the rest are just a place to park and walk to the lake And one on birch at the river.
