I took the Dawgg to Cedar Creek with his promise to put me on lots of fish. Water Temp was 63 degrees, foggy in the am, we drove around the sticks and trash up to just below the dam. Anchored up and started pulling Perch and Slimers out, the Dawgg landed a Striper. It slowed from slow to stopped and we pulled the hook and headed back down river. Once we got set up in about 17' of water we got set up and I pulled in 2 Stripers in a row a couple minutes apart then another. We mixed in some more Perch and Cats. Ended the day with 5 Stripers, a bunch of Cats and Perch, wind burned faces.
I decided we have a communication problem I wanted to catch Stripers and the Dawgg thought I said Perch.
Once again a wonderful day on the water with a great fisherman to help solve the worlds problems
Pictures you say? Well here you go, these are the ones we took home
The long one is 22 1/2 inches
Were they generating?
No, they were not. It was still as all get out. Saw lots of boats in the am at river bend below the big rocks. They were gone when we came back down. All the boats near us was not doing anything but moving a few yards at a time when they moved. Saw one guy trolling and catching one but it was not big. Thanks ScooperDude for a good day of fishing and talking. I enjoyed it and we'll have to do it again maybe during the week.![]()
Hey it is better than working ! Pretty good day. Them slimers are a problem when the water aint running. Glad ya'll found a few hungry ones. They may be back out in the lake by now, Time for live bait on freeline or downrods.
