Vertical jigging would work, as would casting to them. It would all depend on how close you can get to the cover.
I use 6lb test Vicious copolymer hi-vis line for most all my casting/jigging methods. I also use weedless jigheads for most all methods, except for trolling methods (longline, spiderrigging, pushing). I have my jigs custom made by Grousefly ... 1/32 & 1/16oz ballhead jigs with #2 Aberdeen hooks (in both head weights) ... with the fiber brush style weedguard & the Y-guard. (pictured below)
The jig with the Y-guard (bottom jig pictured) is shown with a black Y-guard, but they're also available in "clear" ... and may possibly be available in red![]()

... but, they are way more "snagless" than a regular open hook jig. And don't believe anyone that tells you that you will not get as many strikes on them, or that you will miss strikes because of the weedguard, or lose fish because of it ... that's bull hocky IMHO. And you don't have to set the hook any harder, either.
i guess you answered just about all my questions, but there's one i just gotta ask yah, how do i find grousefly?
