Vertical jigging would work, as would casting to them. It would all depend on how close you can get to the cover.
I use 6lb test Vicious copolymer hi-vis line for most all my casting/jigging methods. I also use weedless jigheads for most all methods, except for trolling methods (longline, spiderrigging, pushing). I have my jigs custom made by Grousefly ... 1/32 & 1/16oz ballhead jigs with #2 Aberdeen hooks (in both head weights) ... with the fiber brush style weedguard & the Y-guard. (pictured below)



The jig with the Y-guard (bottom jig pictured) is shown with a black Y-guard, but they're also available in "clear" ... and may possibly be available in red

sharp looking jigs i had to go there! so, please tell what's the advantage of the #2 hook as i would believe it would allow you greater flexibility on jig body size selection....... correct?

That was my belief, correct !! Those jigs with a 1.5" Panfish Assassin & a #4 hook were fine, and they worked very well. But, when I started using 2" stinger shad bodies, the #4 hook left very little gap between the hook point & top of the body. That's when I had him make me a batch with #2 hooks !! I haven't gone back to #4 hooks, since. And when you have jigheads custom made, you can get the larger hooks in smaller size jigheads, like a 1/32oz, which is nearly impossible to find in stores or commercial brand websites.

And just to be clear ... they are "weedless" NOT "snagless" ... but, they are way more "snagless" than a regular open hook jig. And don't believe anyone that tells you that you will not get as many strikes on them, or that you will miss strikes because of the weedguard, or lose fish because of it ... that's bull hocky IMHO. And you don't have to set the hook any harder, either.
