Default The Voodoo Hex of 2016

I was asking a few others this week what did we do to deserve all this wind? For an entire week??
As I was getting ready to brave today's elements, i got to thinking about how many days I have worn under armour and my carhartts. Been just about every weekend. Missed all the 70 degree weather during the week due to WORK!

So, I was about to leave for the lake this morning and was reading here on the site, and the revelation came to me...

Wiskers has done all of us in with a major hex. He been picking up Louisiana gypsy lessons and learned how to put the VooDoo on KY Lake.

Agreed, I can not get the weather to cooperate at all with work schedule. Cold I can do, just ain't going to brave the possible 40mph gusts, while sustained 15-20 winds they are predicting for Sunday. Next weekend forcast is looking perfect, if it holds true, but have to work. GERR!!

I dont really subscribe to hoo doo voo doo but I tell ya one thing I am done fishing Taylorsville in the wind. My wife did all she could do at five hours in that stuff and we headed in. Waiting for my slabalicious swim baits in the mail and when its not windy we will go again.

Spring has been quite spring-like this year. I actually prefer this to waking up one day in mid march and it being summer for the next 10 months. Let them move in slow and spread out the spawn. Seems like less chance for it to get wiped out by a flood or crazy drop in water level or something.

Water is just now covering my spots at Barren.

sometime last month I heard a weather man say if there's fog on this day, and it was foggy, there'll be FROST ON THE 21ST OF APRIL, I've got it marked on my calendar just to see if he was right.

The only predictability about Kentucky weather is unpredictability . But yesterday bees were active on my bushes so according to my local witch doctor down the street
if I practice cast two times in the front yard, three times in the back yard and throw salt over my shoulder, this next week starting 3/14 fishing will be great. Oh I forgot
he also said to put crappie nibbles on with my left hand.
