I knew there was some weather coming in but decided to give Caney a try this morning anyway. I think I may have fished for at least 30 minutes before the wind started howling. Fished from 7:30-12:00. Water temp was 65-67 degrees. I caught 5 crappie and one bass. I threw back one crappie. Five fish make me and mama a good mess if mama will eat LOTS of taters. LOL.![]()
Only one female. All fish but one caught in 10-12 feet of water. Caught them on pink/blue sparkle and white/red/white hair jigs that I tied. The female looked like she and spawned at least half of her eggs, but still had quite a few in her. Sorry, no pictures today. Maybe I can take some Saturday when I plan to go again.
