Angry Minn Kota Ulterra Let me Down

Less than a month after Purchase my new Ulterra has let me down in the heat of Crappie Season. The motor runs continuously and will not shut off. You can try to reset the motor using the reset procedures to no avail. Im a bit upset to say the least..Im hoping that Minn Kota will do what is right and send me a new motor.

Are you using foot control or remote hand control or both? The reason it runs continuously is that the PWM Fets are turned on constantly. Probably one of 3 things. Foot pedal, remote control, or power control board. First, remove power from TM. Then disconnect the foot pedal and place the remote in an out of range place. Power TM up and see what happens. If it still runs under these conditions, the it is probably the control board. Warranty will cover the issue, but I doubt you get a new replacement TM.

Last weekend I took the ulterra out to let the dogs swim, I didn't load the Huninbird or the remote, when i tried to deploy the ulterra it didn't.Do I have to have the fish finder hooked up? It has a deploy setting on the foot pedal.
I'm going to take the stairs off the trailer on Sunday hook everything up and see if that fixes the problem.
First time I've had any trouble, but also this first time with out the FF or remote on the boat.

Well, did you get a new motor? That's like asking for a new outboard because your starter quit while under warranty.
