Finally, had a chance to Break In Some New Molds Colored White, along with a few that I have requests for:
1.86 Fire Legs, 1” Arkansas Flash w/a few ice jig creations
3.2 Ledger, 1.75 Fire Tail, 2" baby Shad and other ice jig creations
I then shot a little Coffee Mixture with a touch of Red.
The Coffee color seemed to work out well along with a Red 1/32oz jig, so I tipped a few with a touch of red. (this combination work well early spring)
Ya! the arthritic fingers aren’t as nimble as they were at one time, so you may spot some misaligned tails with excess flash. (Don’t Believe the Fish will Notice)
Anyway I really like the 1”in. Arkansas Flash, which should be a killer for the pan fish along with the 1.75 Fire Tail, and the Fire Tail, Tail Mold.
The Tail Mold in itself will work well with the smaller body design when one doesn’t need a grub body.
There were times when down sizing the bait I tore off most of the Grub Body just to get the tail effect, and to balance the smaller jig,
Now! With this tail jig there is no problem just enough length for the hook without the excess body bulk for a true hook set
“Thanks Leonard”![]()
Had the neighbor try out one of the White 3.2 Ledger, said he could not believe the action of that Tail Design which he called Cupped, and wanted me to make a few dozen to his color selection, told him I was going to use them on the Northern Waters (Chippewa Flowage) for Walleye and see how they work out.
Well hope to break away again and get some more bait made as when one has been retired seems help is needed and your own time has been accounted for.
“Oh Well” certainly prevents boredom.
